Chipping Sparrow
  Spizella passerina

* Prefers open forests, forest edges, and streamside habitats.

* Song is a dry buzzy trill.

* Feeds in open grassy areas on the ground near trees for insects and seeds.

* Easily identified by bright rusty colored or rufous crown and black eye-stripe. (Similarly colored Tree Sparrow is a winter visitor in Draper; its eye-stripe is brown not black and has central chest spot.)
