Orange-crowned Warbler
  Vermivora celata

* Breeds in woodlands and streamside habitats at higher elevations. Nests are placed on or near ground; requires dense understory vegetation.

* Feeds primarily on insects but also on spiders, berries, and sap from holes drilled by Sapsuckers.

* Orange feathers in center of crown not easily seen. They are usually concealed.

* One of the latest fall migrations of any Warbler, leaving Canada in September and October. Common migrant in the west.
