Water Hemlock
  Cicuta douglasii

* One of the most poisonous plants in Utah!

* Leaves pinnately compound. Basel leaflets twice compound. Each leaflet looks somewhat like a spear-point. NOTE: Side veins in leaves terminate at the indented part of the leaf margins (look carefully in the photo).

* Member of the carrot and parsley family.

* Grows in wet meadows and especially along banks of streams.

* Rootstalks are hollow with chambers and are especially toxic.
