  Astragalus utahensis

* One of the most beautiful foothill native wildflowers, one of first plants to bloom after the snow melts.

* Grows in full sun on dry sandy and gravely soil.

* Good plant for xeriscape gardening.

* Toxic to horses and livestock

* Fruits are interesting because they are thickly covered with wooly hairs and look like little fuzzy animals.
